Event Medical Cover: We Cover Across Lancashire

At Ribble Valley Medical Team we offer a professional service that alleviates concern for organisers and assists in keeping people safe at events. We offer many cover options, from static bases to mobile patrols around your event.

Bases are operated by 2+ medical volunteers (depending on your needs), and patrols are usually done on foot. Volunteers are always in full communication with our event control unit

Staff wear easily recognisable uniforms and photographic IDs for easy identification.

We do not charge for our Community Event Services, which covers community and charity events, as this allows every event to benefit from first aid coverage. Clearly, though we need funds to operate and develop our services, we welcome donations from event organisers, and we find that most people are generous in supporting our charity. We do have to levy a charge for Commercial Events when we must deploy first aiders and or resources over a long time period, often for several days with or, where required, 24-hour cover. There is also a levy charge for events outside of Ribble Valley to ensure we can cover costs. We always aim to make our charges inexpensive and clear to aid the budgeting of event organisers.

RVMT was set up to support events within Ribble Valley. However if we can assist outside of the area, and are available, we can cover events elsewhere. There would be a small charge for this to cover costs, as our funding is given on the basis of working within Ribble Valley

We can also provide a treatment tent with a minor and major bay.

Medical Vehicles
We can provide a medical car or a medical bike, should your event warrant the use of these.

All Vehicles carry the appropriate equipment to deal with a range of medical emergencies and are tracked.

Free Blood Pressure Checks

We are also now working with Blood Pressure UK and Know Your Numbers Charity by providing free blood pressure checks while we are on events. All our team are trained in taking blood pressure and able to offer advice and if appropriate do a referral to the GP
